IORS Virtual Session on May 19th: Results presentation of i14y Lab / VALOR collaboration toward repeatable and reliable Open RAN testing: Experiences in lab peer review and procedure harmonization for inter-lab and tool-independent reproducibility in O-RAN testing
An overview of research and innovation coming from or enabled by the i14y Lab.
Innovate & Improve
We innovate and collaborate with labs and companies globally to improve testing and integration for Open RAN and RIC to achieve reliable, repeatable, reproducible testing. We work on making testing faster and more efficient. As an open lab, we enable innovation through our test setups and expertise.
Energy Efficiency
Towards consistent and comparable energy efficiency testing
RIC
RIC optimizes mobile networks, we optimize RIC testing
Carsten Rossenhövel, CTO and Co-Founder of EANTC, recently provided insight on the automation of the O-RAN testbed at the i14y Lab. This initiative aims to streamline conformance, interoperability, and benchmark testing processes. In this episode of Unplugged, we delve into EANTC's contributions to the Lab as a Service (LaaS) framework and its transformative potential.
A recent study done at the i14y Lab used Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to address security threats introduced to open RAN with open-source software components. It employed a continuous scanning method using GitHub Actions.
CRICAC: Cross-RIC App Collaboration, a T-Labs project in collaboration with Rimedo Labs, demonstrating the first use of a hierarchical xApp-rApp tandem for more efficient Energy Saving (ES) Cell On/Off Switching (COOS) at the i14y Lab.
