Focus of the O-RAN Global PlugFest Spring 2026 at the i14y Lab
The O-RAN Alliance has set six PlugFest themes. The i14y Lab will focus on
- (Theme 2) Demonstrate consistent and repeatable open front-haul testing in multiple labs
- (Theme 3) O-RAN Energy Consumption, Efficiency, and Savings Testing
- (Theme 4) O-RAN E2E Deployment Templates, DevOps, and Test Automation
The results are now publicly available on the O-RAN Alliance PlugFest Virtual Showcase. The i14y Lab presented two cases:
- HCLTech rApps on OSC Non-RT/SMO with O1 Integration
This scenario demonstrates an advanced Energy Saving (ES) solution within the O-RAN architecture. The setup utilizes a tandem of rApps (ES + load prediction) operating on the OSC Non-RT RIC/SMO, which is integrated with Viavi AI RSG emulator via the O1 interface. - End-to-End single cell FDD 1Finity O-RU and OCUDU
1Finity, SRS and i14y Lab conducted a collaborative PlugFest within the i14y Lab environment to validate O-RAN multi-vendor interoperability.
