Red Hat joins i14y Lab as Associated Partner

We previously shared the rationale behind our Associated Partner efforts. In essence, by adding few but relevant players from the open RAN ecosystem to our current partner setup, we would like to support the dedicated teams behind i14y Lab in their day-to-day life of running an open lab as efficiently as possible.

With that being said, we are happy to announce yet another addition and welcome Red Hat as Associated Partner.

Initially, Red Hat will provide certain software solutions and related training for the activities to be carried out in the i14y Lab, including access to the online Red Hat Learning Subscription for technical personnel involved in the development and i14y operations.

Support can be further specified in the creation of test plans for O-Cloud-Assistance in coordination with software vendors that are testing solutions on Red Hat OpenShift, the industry’s leading enterprise Kubernetes platform. Furthermore, technical support for Red Hat software including emerging technologies such as Sapphire Rapid, FPGAs and Clock Sync are included.

As an Associated Partner of i14y Lab, Red Hat will contribute its technology capabilities and open source leadership to help drive innovation through open collaboration with the i14y Lab open RAN software ecosystem and communities.

By supporting the integration of open RAN solutions from different vendors and sharing feedback and expertise, the Red Hat Telco Cloud Platform will be applied in practice as a truly open cloud platform.

At i14y Lab, we realise every company in the industry stands for their respective skill. In 2023 however, all these important pieces need to come together to solve the mix and match puzzle in order to accelerate time to market for multi-vendor disaggregated telco systems. Thus, we could not be happier to have Red Hat onboard and unlock a new level of collaboration with us. #opentogether
