Non-RT RIC

Non-RT RIC: What does it mean?

The Non-RT RIC (Non-Real-Time Remote Intervention Control) is a component in the 5G network architecture that provides control of network functions and services. It provides non-real-time control and optimization of network resources, AI/ML workflows, and policy-based control of applications and functions. The Non-RT RIC is connected to the Near-RT RIC and is used for less time-critical network interventions, such as software updates and configuration changes, to improve network management and resolve network issues faster.
