What is gNB?

 

The gNB stands for Next Generation Node B and is a component of the 5G mobile communication standard. It serves as the radio access network for 5G devices, responsible for transmitting and receiving data between the 5G device and the core network. The gNB provides improved network coverage, speed, and reliability compared to previous generations, enabling advanced applications and being designed to be scalable and flexible to meet the increasing demand for mobile broadband services.
