EN-DC

What is EN-DC?

EN-DC (Evolved Non-standalone Dual Connectivity) is a feature of 5G mobile networks that allows for simultaneous 4G LTE and 5G NR connectivity, prescribed by 3GPP Release 15. This feature enables a 5G device to connect to both 4G LTE and 5G networks at the same time, improving network coverage, speed, and reliability. The 4G LTE network acts as a backup for the 5G network, ensuring that the device is always connected to the network with the best performance.
